The Legacy of the Beta Pride

The Legacy of the Beta Pride is a listing of big/little sister relationships within our sisterhood. Our big/little sister program promotes sisterhood, involvement, and support. The Founders are indicated by the letter F. The Founders' big sisters came from the Fall 1996, Alpha Active Chapter. These sisters are denoted by (Alpha).

In March 1999, Alpha Sigma Kappa established the Gamma Colony at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. The Beta Chapter became the big sister chapter to the Gamma Colony. Beta Sisters adopted little sisters from the Gamma Chapter. Sisters from the Gamma Chapter are designated by (Gamma).

In October 2000, The Beta Chapter again became a Big Sister. This time to the Delta Colony at the University of Texas at Arlington. The Little Sisters from the Delta Chapter are designated by (Delta).

In December of 2009, the Beta Chapter once again became a Big Sister Chapter. This time to the Eta Colony at New Mexico Tech. Those Little Sisters are designated by (Eta).

Note:

In the case of multiple big sisters, the little sister's information is listed under the highest sister in the tree and the CBS (Co-Big Sister) tag is listed after the little sister's name as a reference to the other branch of this sister's family tree. "LU" (Listed Under) tag is used to refer to the co-big sister in which the little sister's branch is listed under.

In some candidate classes, an initiated sister might have two little sisters. The little sisters are considered twins. Twins are marked with an (&).

Some of the Beta Chapter sisters have assisted with the growth of our Sisterhood on a National Level. These sisters have volunteered their time as National Expansion Representatives to assist a group with the chartering process. This special bond is recognized in our tree by the Chapter/Colony being listed under the respective sister(s).

Along the way, we have lost some sisters. These sisters are still listed in the legacy lines. Anyone whom had voluntarily terminated their membership is designated by "(VolD)". Any sister whom has had membership terminated due to default deactivation is indicated by "(DefD)".
